Accounts Payable Inventory Specialist Summary Analyze expense reports to assign payments to the proper cost centers, work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly statements with vendors. Performs duties to provide additional administrative and organizational support for the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Accounts payable processing/data entry, review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

Prepare weekly disbursement run by Prioritizing invoices according to cash discount opportunities and payment terms. Match invoices to check/ACH/wire details, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly. Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments (mill claims) Respond to all vendor inquiries.

Monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting inventory as necessary. Assist with monthly obsolete inventory procedures. Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

Assist all locations with inventory processing discrepancies. Assist in month end close assuring all payables for the current accounting period are properly booked and recorded. Maintains files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, purging files on a regular basis, and creating new filing systems as needed.

Provides administrative support for audits and special projects to include research, compiling data and preparation of summary reports. Provide backup coverage when needed. Qualifications Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner both orally and in writing. Strong work ethic, positive professional problem solver, proactive and productive. Strong computer skills, proficiency in outlook, word, and excel.

Education and/or Experience Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum 2 years related accounts payable experience
