Accountant who will be responsible for all accounting functions for a Florida Underground Contracting Company and a Michigan Assisted Living Facility. Responsibilities: - Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports - Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data - Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies - Conduct accrual accounting and maintain accurate records of financial transactions - Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Point Click Care for data entry and financial analysis - Implement and maintain double-entry bookkeeping system - Assist with tax preparation and filing - Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes - Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - Proven experience in corporate finance or public accounting - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations - Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (eg, Sage and Point Click Care) - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail - Ability to mentor and train junior staff members - Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation and accrual accounting - Familiarity with tax laws and regulations - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
