Staff Accountant The Position: Reporting to the Accounting Manager for our $100 Million business unit, the accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, preparing & updating financial statements/reports, analyzing revenues and expenditures, performing variance analysis, conducting special projects, as assigned.

Serves as a reliable resource in supporting the Finance department. Duties Prepare general accounting and other related duties for the organization. Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including journal entries, general ledgers maintenance, monthly financial statements, and other reports to be used by management for analyzing financial information.

Prepare both Microsoft Excel and/or Accounting Software system-generated versions of financial statements and reports relating to financial performance. In addition, conduct variance analysis between actual, budget, and prior year. Assist in budgetary and forecast processes.

Provides inside/outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform the annual audit. Manage projects through completion with limited supervision required. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting. Manufacturing accounting experience, preferred. Self-starter with excellent communication skills who has the ability to implement change, work independently and with others, and is deadline oriented.

Detail-oriented with strong math, analytical, and reconcilement skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Robust Microsoft Office knowledge.
